I've been running this screen lately which consists of increasing sales and increasing margins. It's been picking some great stocks lately. I especially like running this one as we get closer to earnings season. Long story short, stocks with increasing margins have a higher probability of at least maintaining their new higher profit margin rate or increasing it yet again, which in turns increases their potential of positively surprising as they're earning more for each dollar of sales they make.
